Who are we?

Welcome to Ms. Peoples Journey! Her story began with caregiving for her mother and extended to her daughter, Shayla, who bravely battled sickle cell anemia from birth. Tragically, Shayla suffered a stroke at 13, leaving her right side paralyzed, adding a greater responsibility to Cheree’s role as her caregiver.

Navigating this demanding role, Cheree faced a legal battle over truancy charges due to Shayla’s medical-related school absences. Despite a 504 plan and Individualized Education Program (IEP) for Shayla, their efforts were unfairly denied, leading to Cheree’s arrest under a truancy law. Despite the hardships, Cheree discovered solace and healing through her creative pursuits, crafting beautiful candles, journals, and planners inspired by the mantra “Juss Bee U.” Cheree’s journey exemplifies resilience, love, and the power of creativity.
